Caravan contract
Our clients, purchasing a caravan park on the Isle of Sheppey, told us that a meeting had been arranged at the park for the following week. Here, we would see all the papers and were expected to investigate the title, read some 50 rental contracts, and negotiate and exchange contracts the same day. Having driven to the park (narrowly avoiding driving off a cliff), we met the seller's lawyers and spent the entire day reading documents, raising enquiries and negotiating a complex contract. The deal was done late in the day, the client treating us to a cheese roll.
