Emotional film rights
This complicated case involved non-resident shareholders represented by non-resident individuals and off-shore trusts and companies. Needless to say, these parties weren't always in harmony with each other. The buyer's solicitors - a multinational US firm of attorneys with offices in London - required answers to very detailed jurisdictional and regulatory questions on the sale of a company, whose assets comprised the rights to films. Culminating in an all-night completion meeting with the US attorneys, Lyndales were able to resolve issues and satisfy an emotional overseas buyer.
